Description: <DIV STYLE="text-align:Left;"><DIV><DIV><P STYLE="text-align:Justify;"><SPAN>The Department of Environment and Local Government under Local Governance and Local Government Reform (LGLGR) is undergoing a Local Governance Reform (LGR) process that will restructure the local governance structure in New Brunswick from a combined 340 local governments and local service districts to 89 local governance entities consisting of 62 newly restructured local government entities; 15 non-restructured local government entities and 12 rural districts. In addition to the creation of newly restructured local governments, there were adjustments to some regional service commission boundaries. The new boundaries were delineated based on the following GIS Layers:</SPAN></P><UL STYLE="margin:0 0 0 0;padding:0 0 0 0;"><LI><P STYLE="text-align:Justify;margin:0 0 0 0;"><SPAN>School Catchment (Department of Education and Early Childhood Development)</SPAN></P></LI><LI><P STYLE="text-align:Justify;margin:0 0 0 0;"><SPAN>911 Communities (Department of Justice and Public Safety)</SPAN></P></LI><LI><P STYLE="text-align:Justify;margin:0 0 0 0;"><SPAN>Service New Brunswick (SNB) property (December 2021)</SPAN></P></LI><LI><P STYLE="text-align:Justify;margin:0 0 0 0;"><SPAN>SNB Taxing Authority (</SPAN><SPAN STYLE="font-style:italic;">currently under review as part of LGR process</SPAN><SPAN>)</SPAN></P></LI><LI><P STYLE="text-align:Justify;margin:0 0 0 0;"><SPAN>Watercourse layers (New Brunswick Hydrographic Network – NBHN)</SPAN></P></LI></UL><P /><P STYLE="text-align:Justify;"><SPAN>Par l’entremise de Gouvernements locaux et Réforme de la gouvernance locale, le ministère de l’Environnement et des Gouvernements locaux entreprend une réforme visant à restructurer la gouvernance locale au Nouveau-Brunswick et à passer de 340 gouvernements locaux et districts de services locaux à 89 entités de gouvernance locale comprenant 62 entités de gouvernement local nouvellement restructurées, 15 entités de gouvernement local non restructurées et 12 districts ruraux. En plus de la création de gouvernements locaux nouvellement restructurés, des modifications ont été apportées aux limites de certaines commissions de services régionaux.
